DeLorean was the vision of the John Z. DeLorean... once General Motor's
most respected designer. The car was manufactured beginning in 1981
at the State-of-the-art factory in Dunmurby, Northern Ireland.

The
DMC-12 is powered by a rear mounted, 130 HP Peugeot-Renault-Volvo 2.8 litre
(PRV-6) engine. This car can do 0-60 in less then 8 seconds which
is impressive for a v6 of that era. The most easily recognizable feature
on this car is it's Gull-wing doors.
